Troll Falls with Kids

We hiked Troll Falls this weekend and were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. We let the older kids ride their run-bikes, since it really helps extend their range, and pushed the youngest in the Chariot. I also remembered to keep my expectations low, and to let the kids lead. With this set up we were 38 min from car to Falls. TrollFalls_JonathanNeufeld2267

On the way back down we spent a lot of time playing around in the forest, looking at bugs, butterflies, and plants.  We found a nice little lunch spot on a side trail that leads towards Nakiska and then explored Hay Meadows before heading home.

All in all it was a fantastic day. The kids did 5km total without a meltdown, this is a vast improvement from last year’s Family-best lof 1km.
